Bellum Infinitus; the Xik'kri'vik invasion

Talon looked at the Rhedogian, switching his weapon to pistol mode.

"I'll handle that thing."

He fired a charged shot at its eye, running toward it.

I found myself in a room being briefing by Adam. I was in a daze from being a little tired. I waited for the briefing to end when I had herd the words "Any objection lady?" come from Adams mouth. I looked to my right seeing all of the men from the 07th platoon giving the thumbs up and looking back at me. I was trying to remember how exactly I had gotten here again. my mind was drawing a blank. I looked forward and gave Adam the thumbs down as I had done so many times before and was ready for whatever was going to happen ahead. I was going to be working with Adam and the others on this mission. The thought of fighting along side Adam again triggered memories of my federation days. I moved out with the other bounty hunters and was on my way to get this over with.

I was woken up to the sound of everyone in the barracks running around everywhere. I got up and started to walk over to my footlocker. I drew my military uniform from the small chest and made my was over to the nearest squad member I could find. I had stopped him to ask what was was going on.

"I don't know man, there was some attack on K-2L from what I here. Sarge wants us to meet in the briefing room ASAP."

And with that the private had ran out the door before I could ask him anything else. I made my way out the door of my bunk room to find complete chaos in the hallways. people running, pushing, scrambling trying to get to where they needed to be. I could here the drill Sargents yelling and shouting out commands.

"31st Platoon, make your way to Briefing room 137! 27th Platoon needs to double time it to briefing room 745!"

I made my way through the crowds to the briefing room specially designated to any member of the HECU. I walked in mid briefing to see my commanding officer telling everyone where they would be headed.

"Sheppard! Where the hell have you been?! Never mind that, I'm going to assume you know the situation, We are going to send you in with Privates Ramirez, Allen, and Sanderson. Unfortunately, we are short on Sargent, so your going to be there commanding officer on this mission. Your mission will be to Defend several group's of federal soldiers making there way to a convoy."

I was trained in squad leading but I had never done it before. There must have been some serious shit going down if they where sending in the HECU on a regular mission like this, or if they where out of Sargents to send in to command the privates. I made my way with the 3 other soldiers to the barracks where I was suited up and given my sniper. I remember going to 2 other missions with Ramirez, but the others where fresh meet. Ramirez was a Heavy weapons man, and the other 2 where both fitted with regular assault rifles. I made my way from the barracks to the Pickup Zone where we had waited for our transport ship to take us to our LZ.

There was still mas chaos everywhere. There where transport ships landing and taking back off at such an alarming that rate it was felt as if time had been going twice as fast. I watched as wounded men where dragged to infirmary's by there broken arms and more men rushed onto transport ships awaiting there doom. I had herd my name being called as a transport ship that had a very different look from the rest had landed in front of us. Its was a specially designed HECU transport. They where made to withstand almost anything thrown at them, and unlike any other transport, was armored to the bone with heavy cannons and plasma guns. I made my way onto the ship and made sure that the others had also gotten on and where ready for the long road ahead. I patted the pilot on the shoulder and we took of into orbit on our way to hell.

I wonder what shes doing right now...

"Let's move out!" ordered Adam as he lowered his visor and his Assault rifle; going through a door as the various other bounty hunters moved out to fight their own battles. Immediately one Xik'kri'vik Sentinel attempted to block their path, but the creature's defenses were soon overwhelmed by a huge outpouring of lead from 7th's platoons assault rifles. "Word of warning to you princess; not all of these bugs drop this easily." said Anthony as he lightly kicked the bullet filled and stony corpse of the Alien. The familiar screech of Ridley then sounded throughout the halls of the ship, followed by what sounded like a hundred wolves all made out of rock howling at once. "I don't like this." mused the Robot bounty Hunter Terridax. "Neither do I, but we'll have to investigate." Adam responded as he lead the group to the large, wide open room where the lupine Xik'kri'vik general Ix'kal'tok was fighting a prepubescent child in power armor, the bounty hunter kanden, a space pirate commando, and a clone of the mighty space pirate enforcer Ridley while a Teenaged male clad in a power suit was dealing with a beast that evoked the imagery of the anomalocaris that ruled the earth during the ancient cambrian times.

The Rhedogian fired off several missiles at Talon before flying back to give himself some space as Ix'kal'tok fired off another purple ray from it's outstretched right hand, hitting Alex in the chest plate and sending him flying into the wall near the group under Adam's command and muttered "ohh..my head...I think I broke...something" in a dazed voice while Ridley continued to struggle to pick himself up. "Take that thing down now!" Adam ordered, causing the Federation soldiers to pour lead into it's shields; sending bullets pinging off the purple energy barrier, though many were flying into the singularity above it; which looked dangerously close to overload. Anthony fired off a blast with his plasma cannon; bringing further closer to Overload, while Terridax fired off a charged shot, followed by Spire's charged magmaul; all it would take to overload it would be one charged shot from samus. "Samus, fire a charged shot into the Singularity above it's head, that should stun it!" Adam ordered as Ix'kal'tok charged at the group on all fours, baying and barking like a rabid dog.

Talon was about to dodge, but then he heard Samus coming in.

The Hunter!

He then shifted his attention toward Samus, forgetting that he just got a barrage of missiles fired at him. He was sent flying into a wall by the blast, his suit's alarms beeping in his ear as his suit was down to 19 energy.

"I thought...I disabled that..."

Damn it, why am I so easily distracted?

He let his shields recharge.

I followed him, & said "You should have some Ion Cannons on your ship, don't you, I hope to neutralize whatever is attempting a cloak, with limited success" Then, As I got on the ship, I Said "Wait a minute, My visor is showing... AHHH!!!" A Feedback pulse to presumably disable my monitoring of something caused me to fall, motionless, I don't know how much time later, but eventually I woke up to a Syncronization Complete, Get Up screen & I recognized the new Visor of my new suit, something was loading, But what? I discovered several new functions, a arm cannon, missiles, beams, & a new shield system.

"Well lookey here Samus Aran, This is going to be fun" Laughed Apollo as he was pushed back by a weaker missle blast. "And look at this Adam *Cough* Malkovich joins the battle, How amusing". Apollo spotted a fed aiming his gun at him and teleported everytime he fired until he was close enough to the trooper and lopped his head off before teleporting back to his intitial starting point. "Now who else wants to take me on huh?"

Talon aimed at Samus, still on the ground, his shields nearly fully recharged. He waited for her to fire at the general before firing.

That will lower the amount of enemies I have to fight...

I had followed the 07th and the hunters as we had found ourself in a room where this new race known as the Xik'kri'vik where attacking the some space pirates and Ridley. wait... RIDLEY?! I had gone into total shock. How was it that Ridley could be alive. I killed him on Zebus. Flashbacks raced through my mind of the day that it had all happened. I could fell myself start to fade out of my suit until I had herd Adams voice.

"SAMUS!"

Thats all I needed to here. I had snapped back to reality to see that the hunters and 07th where firing at the Xik'kri'vik, rather then the pirates. I had my arm cannon fully charged but I didn't know what to shoot. I wanted to fire at ridley but I was told to attack the Xik'kri'vik. It was a quick decision that felt like a lifetime but I shot at the Xik'kri'vik like Adam had wanted me to. The shot overloaded the Xik'kri'vik's shields and it was now an easy target. I switched to missile mode, ready to fire one in its face when I saw that one of the pirates had been aiming at me.

((Quick note before I continue, Talon hasn't meet Samus in family reunion yet. that happens post fusion. this is post zero mission. Talon must have been hired for a long time to kill Samus if his first chance was in family reunion, but in my eyes, that RP shouldn't exist. who agrees with me?))

I turned my fire to it sure that the fire the 07th and Hunters where putting on it where enough if its shields where down. I turned my arm cannon at him and fired, then dodging to the right and reloading it so that I would be to fire another missile at Ridley. Thats all that mattered to me now, making sure that Ridley wouldn't get the chance to harm any other innocent person again.

Our transport was still flying through the air when I looked out the window. Creatures I had never seen before where attacking federal troops. It was a complete massacre. We had made it to our LZ, just a click away from the front line, in a federal base where you could see wounded men overloaded in tents and escort ships. I had meet up with the group of people we would be escorting to the pick up point. Things where getting to hot here and the creatures where closing in. We had control of a new kind of vehicle implemented by the federation. Its official name was the M312 Heavy Recovery Vehicle, but everyone just called it the Behemoth. It was the equivalent of a mobile command station. Equipped with 2 plasma cannons and 4 anti-vehicle chain guns, this thing was a super tank on steroids. it could hold up to 18 people and 1 M12 Force Application Vehicle in its cargo hold. It only needed one man to drive, and from a command post I could get an over view of everything around us, make direct contact with the Federation, and control anything on the mobile command post. the best part was that the command post was elevated about 4 stories from the ground and had open-able windows. Perfect for sniping. I had made my way up the command post and had given orders to my men. Ramirez was given the task of controlling the weapon systems of the land ship, Allen was given the task of making sure that the passenger would get on whenever we made a stop and would stay in the cargo hold with the other passenger to make sure they where safe, and Sanderson was stuck with the job of being are wheel man. The cargo hold door was open at all time and was equipped with a ramp so that vehicles could just ride into the back of the station and be home free.

when I had first set foot in the command tower, the very first thing I did was open the windows and set my sniper on its magnetized bi pod facing the base we where leaving. I wasn't known for what I said, but what I did. I never talked much on missions, but before I had made my way up to the command tower I had patted Allen on the back once as i was exiting the cargo hold, gave Ramirez the thumbs up when he asked me to turn the weapon systems online, and nodded to Sanderson when he had started the engine and started to drive...

I had saw something in the distance from my sniper scope after about 10 minuets of driving. the base was being attacked by the creatures. wounded and beaten men killed without mercy.

I have to make it through this one... for her...

(OOC:I agree. So many parts didn't make sense at all. Especially Sora thinking Samus was there to pick him up because of a contact with an Aurora unit that was destroyed long before the time of the RP. And K2L apparently being corrupted out of nowhere.)

Talon got up from the ground and ran toward Samus, charging a nova shot and aiming at her head. He ignored everything else happening around him, only concentrating on Samus.

Ix'kal'tok's defensive black hole had finally absorbed too much energy and in a massive burst of light and heat, knocking the servant of the Moon god down into a kneeling position, with his shields down to 1% integrity. "No!!!...I can't be beaten...by inferiors...least of all...one so tainted by the Chozo...as you hatching!" he growled weakly, panting heavily as he feebly pointed an accusing finger at Samus. "You will not dishonor my name, family, and caste by having the pleasure of killing me. To be Slain by one so befouled by our ancient enemies as you would be the ultimate disgrace." he continued; gathering enough strength to stand up, though dazed. He collected himself; focusing on the fleet's flagship and teleported back to the Zyqi'vil, leaving behind an Armor suit upgrade, in the form of a large revolving token with the now famous Screw attack symbol on it (metroid prime style suit upgrade).

Ridley looked glaringly at Samus; his face full of contempt for the teenaged girl clad in power armor that stood before him. "Surprised? I'm too valuable to the Space Pirates to simply die Samus. But thanks to you I'm stuck with a Clone Body until High Command finishes giving my actual body it's Cybernetic upgrades. Thanks to you, I lost my seat in High Command!!! I was humiliated when High command saw how easily you beat me! I used to..." he said, his voice starting at a sneer before building into a roar, but before he could continue his rant he had to stop to cough out copious amounts of Green blood. "Go ahead! Finish me off, take away what pride I have left, grab the stupid Armor upgrade and leave." he finished in a defeated and almost pathetic tone, as blood oozed out of his wounds.

"Well Samus, I don't think I can let you finish off Ridley or take that Upgrade, if Ridley goes, I don't get paid, and I don't think you deserve that upgrade." said Kanden as he moved into a position that blocked Samus's shot, but even a fool would know that as powerful Kanden was, he wouldn't last much more than a few seconds against Samus with the number of upgrades she had; but the super soldier wasn't about to back down.

Before this tense moment could be resolved however, Alex gave the Upgrade a light touch, which sent an orb of light towards everyone wearing powered armor or with a system compatible with upgrades for them; impacting virtually everyone in the room and causing them to glow intensely for about five seconds, until the glow finally died down; revealing the upgrade to the suits. Now the arms, shoulders, and leg armor of the power suits, or chassis and skin in the case of Spire, Kanden, and Terridax, were silvery white like the surface of the moon, while the torso and helmet were rendered a dark black like the black portions of the Earth's Moon's surface.

A message flashed on the HUD screens of all the affected people save for spire and terridax, informing them; "Lunar Suit Acquired; analyzing upgrade....Analysis complete; Upgrade confers increased damage resistance, short range teleportation ability, the ability to understand and translate Vik'kri'xik, and immunity to damaging Force energy...warning unknown substance detected in user...scanning, foreign substance does not appear in known databases...Substance has been introduced by upgrade...attempting to disable upgrade...Alert; Cannot disable upgrade...attempting to quarantine spread of material...successful...new Material dubbed 'Dark Glass'...material appears to be a mutagen with unknown properties ((It's not Phazon, though it it somewhat similar, it's somewhat more insidious)) and radiates an unknown energy...User is now 5% corrupted by Dark Glass."

Now a patch of fibrous materials, about the size of a small napkin, was present on all the affected people, though where it was varied. The material was primarily a very dark blue with veins of somewhat blue patched around it. The Dark Glass was caused by the power source of Xik'kri'vik technology, which had very adverse effects on Carbon Based Life forms, which if left unchecked would turn eventually turn them into creatures of Living Dark Glass. Luckily; the armorsuits had successfully managed to quarantine the material's spread.

Alex looked at his left hand and removed the gauntlet; showing that the back of his small, gracile hand was now covered in the fibrous material, but when he saw that it was slowly spreading he leapt back in shock as his visor's HUD warned "Alert! Armor cannot prevent spread of dark glass when not on...please put back gauntlet!" he quickly reattatched the metal glove, the air hissing as the suit hermetically sealed that part of his body and resumed it's containment of the Dark Glass.

Talon looked at his new armor upgrade.

I like it.

He read the message about the Dark Glass.

"What the hell is dark glass?"

I saw the planet nearby, it seemed that one patch of it was glowing with beam shots, & I requested a launch, in my suit, towards the planet. When I finally jumped into space, my HUD started to show the charging of the Inertial dampeners to keep me from dying upon hitting the ground. On the ground, I saw everyone else get a suit upgrade, I thought I was late, but the HUD in my visor showed an unknown Mutagenic material, Dark Glass, that had affected everyone with the new upgrade. Then, I yelled out to anyone that can hear me "Anyone miss me, Looks like I'm late" "My Visor is showing that Dark Glass can be VERY dangerous, Dont use your new upgrade too often." & "Now, why are you here, if it's to fight a very dangerous new Civilization, then, I''m in" I then started to charge my arm cannon

Terridax stood still for a brief moment before scanning the room and everyone in it. "The Dark glass seems harmless as long as the corrupted flesh is quarantined, however, this means that until a cure can be found for it, those affected will only be able to remove the parts of their armor that do not cover corrupted flesh. The Child for example, will have to keep his right gauntlet on at all times or risk losing his entire hand to the corruption. As a Machine, I have not been affected, while Spire is a sillicon based life form and is thus immune to the effects of Dark Glass." he stated in a metallic and somewhat worried tone.

Ridley was not granted the power up on account of him lacking any armor suit and thus lacked any Dark Glass corruption and he grinned at the thought of Samus being corrupted by the material. "It appears that you aren't invulnerable after all Samus...Now all I have to do is break that shell of yours to..." he sneered before he was cut off by the sound of Klaxons blaring. "Warning, massive energy build up detected in Xik'kri'vik flagship! 'Eye of the gods' device firing sequence has activated! Evacuate the ship immediately! 7 minutes until eye of the gods firing sequence completion! Evacuate immediately! Alert! Evacuate immediately! Alert, shields failing due to enemy fire! Alert, all engines experiencing total failure! Alert Hyperdrive systems offline!" blared an automated PA system in a feminine but robotic tone.

"Everyone off the ship now!" yelled Adam, his platoon making a dash for the Hangar. "Well I'm out of here!" cackled Ridley as he made his own route to the Hangar as explosions wracked the vessel. The Rhedogian didn't understand the PA system's exact words, but the explosions that were wracking the ship meant that he didn't have to be warned twice, and he quickly took off for the drifting cruiser. The Other space pirates began to flee to the landing ships in a panic, ceasing their fight with the galactic federation entirely. As Kanden fled towards his ship Alex turned towards Samus and spoke "Come on you tit, we have to get out of here!" he yelled frantically as the battleship was rocked by more explosions. "I concur with the boy, we need to leave immediately." Terridax agreed. "Come on Samus, I'll race you to the Hangar." said spire, giving Samus a slight nudge as he entered Dialanche form and rolled up a wall into a morph ball tunnel to the hangar.


"Xal'mak'dol xi'kra'zok"(Energy levels stable, weapon is charging) reported one Xik'kri'vik ensign in the bridge of the Zyqi'vil, whose eye of the gods device was charging up a massive amount of energy to eliminate the Federation fleet. "Grak, kal'tok'nar."(Good, fire when ready) responded Zyq'kri'vix who observed the battle from his station in the bridge of the gargantuan ship.

I had watched as everyone had been corrupted around me by this "Dark Glass". I hadn't of cared that I was infected if I had gotten the chance to duke it out with Ridley, but the PA system had gone off warning that the place was about to blow. I had herd Ridley say he was leaving, and before he had the chance to fly off I turned my arm cannon towards him and fired a few shots. It was pointless as he was already to far for me to chance after at this point. I had watched as everyone had started to run for the hanger. I activated my speed boosters and had ran at full speed for the hanger. I made some great timing, seeing as how I was the first to the hanger even though I had started late. I waited to get on my ship making sure that the men of the 07th had gotten here safely. I then got on my ship and flew away following the 07th ship to the nearest federal command post so we could find a way to rid of this "Dark Glass".

Ridley leaped out into the void of space, his wings catching the solar wind of K-2L's sun and carrying towards his purple colored ship, leaving the decaying battleship as debris flew from it with each shot fired into it by a swarm of smaller Xik'kri'vik frigates who themselves were moving as far away from the battleship as possible. But what really drew his attention was the massive purple orb of energy that was gathering in the front of the Flagship of the Xik'kri'vik fleet, the Zyqi'vil, he reasoned that this must be the eye of the gods device, musing as he flew through the void of space until he finally arrived at his ship's hangar.

Spire rolled out of a ventilation shaft and smashed into the ground with his 750 pound frame, the metal buckling underneath his weight. "Well Looks like you win." said spire as he leaped into his ship, which could best be described as a hollowed out asteroid with engines, shielding, and weapons stuck on it which flew off into the void to the GFS Olympus

Terridax soon arrived in battle tank form, firing a long tom shell at a group of Xik'kri'vik sentinels, hitting them with the force of five super missiles packed into one explosive, vaporizing them and blowing a large chunk out of the wall before transforming back into his bipedal mode. He too crawled into his well armed and armored gunship and followed Spire's ship to Admiral Dane's ship.

The 07th Platoon arrived just as the other two hunters left, though Anthony caught the sight of Kanden's bug shaped ship flying off into the void. "Should we chase him?" he asked. "No Anthony, Kanden is not our priority." Adam answered as he boarded their transport ship. "Alright... but where is that kid we saw earlier?" Anthony said, referring to Alex as he boarded his ship.

Alex had stowed away on Samus's gunship, having unconsciously teleported himself into it with his emerging psionic abilities as the main room began to collapse on itself. Not wanting Samus to find him, he crawled into a closet compartment and closed the door behind him. Unfortunately, his experience with using his psionic abilities was minimal at best, and an easily detectable psionic signal began to emanate from him. "What's going to happen to me." he thought as he curled up, pulling his knees in, but inadvertently; he broadcasted this thought to everything within ten meters.

((OOC: it wasn't on the planet?, just assume that Aryss was on the ship, then.))
I Heard the PA Message, & decided to break a window, outside & at a safe distance, I broadcasted a message to all gunships capable of getting me, saying "Sorry, but I need some help here. Anyone capable of accomadating me please get me, I don't want to get hit by any weapons" "I'll design a device specifically to destroy the mutagen if you want me to"

A stilletto class fighter remained in the hangar, still available for Aryss to hitch a ride on. "Warning one minute before Eye of the Gods firing sequence completion! Evacuate immediately! Evacuate immediately! Evacuat-" said the PA system before an explosion cut it off, a great red fireball filling the hallways as the ship began to list in space.

I was lucky, now I just had to wait while yelling into my comm unit "GET ME THE F*** OUT OF HERE"

I was not having a good day, even the prospect of beating a bag to hell & back wasn't going to calm me down.
Then, I remembered. the calm eerie halls of the Argonaught, the twisted mutated crew, the horrors of those 3 weeks were greater than anyone could bear without an extensive therapy session (more about the Strain T mutagen & my little mission on the Argonaught later, you wouldn't like it if I remembered that horror again, I'd probably shoot a lot of people thinking they had the T strain mutagen (it takes a while to fully mutate))

I shivered & remembered some thing I should not have, the weapon that killed my family was the same as the one that destroyed this ship. The Xik'kri'vik are going to pay, even if I die in the process.

I focused & ordered the ships as if I was a general, telling them to move into strategically advanced formations. I was probably going to get repremanded.

Talon ran to the hangar and jumped from the ship, following Ridley. He used the short-range teleportation ability to teleport to Ridley's ship's hangar.

I love this new suit.

As everyone left the decaying battleship, Apollo was brought into a pirate gunship which fled the ship and made a very short hyperspace jump to ridley's dreadnought. All the ships in the chaotic battle moved as far away from the target zone as possible, hopefully to safety, but no one wanted to give up on the battle just yet, so none took the wise decision of simply hyperspacing out of the solar system as the Eye of the god's device charged more and more energy.

Talon sat down and took off the gauntlets of his armor, checking if the dark glass was on his hands or not. He noticed it was on his left pinky finger and quickly reattached the gauntlet.

Maybe I can cut it off to stop it from spreading...

Finally, the purple maelstrom of energy that swirled around the prow of the Zyqi'vil unleashed itself as a massive lancing beam of dark purple energy, obliterating Adam's battleship, but the true devastation came when a pulse in the beam reached the battleship, which rent the very fabric of reality itself with demonic amounts of force. A great shockwave of unreality expanded in all directions; appearing as a massive Supernova like rainbow of colors. The Refugee ships were too close to the wreck to have any chances of escaping, and in a single second of pure horror, all the survivors of the Omega-39 plural XX sector raid were instantly destroyed.

Still the great rift did not cease in it's consumption of ships, it continued to expand, devouring ship after ship in a malestrom of pure force. The great hulls of Galactic federation battleships provided little resistance, and like matchsticks in the wind they were swept aside, consumed by the great wave of annihilation that expanded from what was once Adam's battleship. Space pirate vessels were not excluded from the carnage however; hundreds of them too met their demises at the hands of the charged Eye of the Gods blast, obliterated in the blink of an eye by an quantity of energy far in excess of anything seen in a mere hypernova.

The explosion finally ceased when it had encompassed an area with a radius of ten astronomical units that almost completely obliterated the space pirate and galactic federation fleets; creating a great multihued eye like Nebula esque tear in the spacetime fabric, a hole that lead to parts unknown and stopped just outside the boundaries of the K-2L system.

The sudden deaths of so many billions of Sapient beings, as well as the sudden rending of the spacetime fabric at once created a great psionic scream that echoed across the universe. Whether or not one was a psion himself, they could hear an ear-splitting telepathic scream made by the collective last thoughts of all who were slain by the blast, a scream that was so great that no corner of the infinite universe did not hear it. But those who truly did possess psionic abilities heard it more clearly than the 'normals.'

From within his hiding place in Samus's Gunship, Alex was overwhelmed by the sudden psychic scream; his Psionic abilities had inadvertently caused him to see the final moments of each and every ship that was destroyed by the Eye of the Gods blast, but the image that burned in his head more fiercely than any other was the sight of his parents final moments as the shockwaves of the blast caught up to their ship. He watched as his mother, a light haired and fair skinned woman gave his father, a man who appeared to be his 40's who sported a prominent mustache ; one final Embrace as they stared into Oblivion, but despite the fact that the destruction of their bodies was instant; their end was far from painless as their psionic essences were flayed by the enormous quantities of energy.

Tears welled up in the boy's eyes as his parents and all of his surviving friends and family were slain in one apocalyptic moment. Even as his thoughts were being overwhelmed by the psychic scream, he could only feel an overwhelming sadness. "It's not fair! It's not bloody fair! No! No! Noooo....." he screamed, banging his fist against the metal wall before collapsing to the ground in sobs, finally breaking down entirely. "They can't be gone! We just made it off our bloody planet...they can't die now. Dad promised that we'd make it out together...why!?! It's not fair!" he continued as all the memories of those relatives and friends that had escaped the destruction of his homeworld only to perish in the blast flashed before him.

As their ship sped towards the Olympus, the 07th platoon could only watch in horror as the Refugee fleet and much of the escort fleet were consumed in the raging inferno of energy released by the Eye of the gods device. When it had destroyed Neo-Britannia; the device was completely uncharged, but now it had a whole seven minutes of charge time, and due to that, it had caused far more destruction. Again, the telepathic screams of all those who were slain instantly battered their minds. "We failed them..." James Pierce muttered as he looked away from the blast. "We were in the clear...and we failed them all just like that." he continued. And those were the only words spoken among the members of the seventh platoon as their ship sailed through the starry void towards the Olympus.

Ridley felt a slight twinge of pity and sadness, though it was greater for the slight amount of pity he felt for Samus when he first laid eyes on her on K-2L; it was no more than that. The cold-hearted Space Pirate Enforcer quickly regained his composure and turned towards his bridge. "Take us home, we've taken all what we can." he commanded in a tone somewhat softer than usual. "Yes Lord Ridley, setting course for Urtraghus." responded an ensign who set in the coordinates into the Hyperdrive computer, and in a flash; the entire space pirate fleet had departed.

"So much loss of life in one month..." commented Terridax downheartedly, as his gunship sailed silently towards his corvette; which was luckily far away enough from the blast to avoid destruction. As he entered his ship, he set it on a course to dock with the Olympus to await his debriefing.

"Tok'kta'kal gro'trax?"(Is it done Ensign?) asked Zyq'kri'vix with a morbid degree of pleasure. "Val'kro'mak, nok'tra'kal va!"(Yes my lord, the refugee fleet is destroyed) answered the Ensign his tone flat and dull. "Hork'gra'val ix'tro'vak, iv'zak'tso."(Good, signal home, tell them to begin the full invasion.) responded the death obsessed Xik'kri'vik commander as he casually strided towards his quarters, not at all disturbed by the loss of life he had caused this day, and in fact; one could say that the sudden slaughter of so many billions of Sapients brought a spark of joy to his dark heart. His footfalls echoed as the tips of his spider-like legs impacted the stony floor of his flagship, his form stopping at his quarters as the fleet made another hyperspace jump to parts unknown.

Talon fell to the ground as he heard the psychic scream. Unknown to him, he had Psionic abilities(Normally no more than telepathy; he occasionally picked up random thoughts.) that were slightly boosted by the Dark Glass.

What...What just happened?

(OOC: There's a question I wanted to ask but forgot. Is the T Strain mutagen by any chance related to the T-Virus from Resident Evil? The way it's described sounds a lot like it. Just wondering.)
