The Dead Planet(Or World War Dead) (Pre-Prime) (NON-CANON)

The Nightmaer opened its dragon-maw wide, "charging" a plasma flame blast to fire at the undead bastards swarming it and Talon. This was assisted by tail whipping the fuck out of quite a few Z's while it was charging.

Talon grinned and grabbed one of the zombies by the throat, just out of biting distance and bashed its head to pieces with his pipe, running for his new car and driving off, trying to find a safe area from the outbreak.

Nightmaer's response to this was to bite several of the zombies' heads off with its dragon hand, then transform into a ki-hunter and fly off, spreading its wings in mid-air and turning into a space-dragon once more. It felt that that form had the best fighting abilities of the fliers it had in its DNA banks.

Talon just kept driving through the crowds of zombies, hooking his music player to the car and having A Mansion In Darkness by King Diamond play while he drives straight through the hordes, trying to find a safehouse.

The zombie horde crowded around Talon's car, eager to get in at the fleshy inside, and those that came close to stopping his car were plasma breath'd (not a word, I know) by Nightmaer in its space dragon form. After a while, it just started breathing fire on the horde in front of the car to clear a path.

Talon moved his car out of the way of the plasma breath(after all, that plasma close to his vehicle couldn't be good for it at all), moving one hand off the wheel to headshot a zombie holding onto his car, making it fly off limply and slam into three other pursuing zombies. "Fuck yeah, this is going well," he said with a grin.

(sorry I missed the actual post, I've been sleeping since 7:30 or so. having interrupted sleep throughout the day is the only reason I'm up right now.)
having killed many zombies, and feeling quite proud of itself, Nightmaer fired off a powerful plasma-ball ahead in the thickest portion of the crowd, thankfully not near Talon yet, leaving a literal "fire in the hole" for them. The ball exploded seconds later, turning a larger portion of the zombies to ashes, and clearing out a path for Talon to drive through. As it would turn out, the zombies were actually crowding around an underground bunker, and the blast from the explosion and the plasma waves knocked the entrance- which sloped for vehicles- open, which would allow Talon access before it closed, should he decide to go down.
((the large underground bunker is filled mostly with fanatics, who built it over a period of years in preparation for a biological war involving zombies (and trust me, that is quite plausible. There are people in the world who are actually convinced that the US military is a defense group against a zombie invasion, so people building underground bunkers for the same reason is not that unlikely. Hell, people probably are doing it in real life, you know, fanatics.), most of the others in there are scared civilians who got dragged under by the fanatics. and then repeatedly told "I told you so" by those same fanatics. there are a few people who don't fall into either group, having been prepared for war with tons-of-guns (like ex-military in some cases), but not expecting this kind, who supply the survivors with weaponry and combat training to protect themselves and other survivors.))

Talon just drove straight down into the bunker, stopping the car as he got out, looking around the room with his pistol out.

As Talon drives in, Nightmaer transformed back into its standard humanoid form and donned the armorsuit it wore, activating the stealth function to keep from being noticed before entering the bunker after the interesting human.

Talon walked around the bunker, deciding to explore it since he apparently didn't find anyone, putting his pistols away while he looked around.

In the corridor of the bunker lies a barricaded steel door with candle-light emitting from underneath it. Listening closely, you can hear the faint sound of radio static coming from within. The door has had it's handle welded off, and looks as if someone took a ram to it twofold in the middle.

Shortly after entering the bunker, the entryway ramp is pushed up by way of hydrolic (please do correct me if that spelling is wrong) pistons, closing it from the zombies outside. in the time it was open, a total of three zombies stumbled into the bunker, hidden by the back end of the vehicle Talon had been driving, these three zombies began moving about in the bunker, but were unable to get far before automatic defense turrets, seemingly space pirate in origin, descended from the ceiling and blasted them apart with high power plasma fire. Nightmaer is startled by the sudden booming sound of improperly silenced plasma weapons discharge, and jumps, his suit's active camouflaging system deactivating for a few seconds. Hearing the sound of weapons-fire, several of the civilians comes rushing out into the main entrance, all carrying class three semi-automatic plasma rifles (high power mid-sized directed energy weapons with limited ammunition carried in charge-packs) aimed and at the ready. One quickly spots Talon and the non-hidden Nightmaer, and just as quickly notices their obvious lack of zombification. One of his comrades notices the charred zombie remains and signals to the others to lower their weapons, which they do - somewhat hesitantly, fearing further attack from the feral flesh devourers above - at this time, the one who noticed Talon and Nightmaer walk up and makes obvious that he was a "friendly", only wishing to talk.

Talon aimed the pistol at them then lowered it, realizing they weren't hostile toward him, but toward the zombies. "Nice place you have here," he said, deciding not to question how they managed to come across Space Pirate technology. Maybe the Federation was reverse engineering or something.

"It serves the purpose." The civilian states, referring to keeping them from the zombie plague. One of the other civilians was approaching Nightmaer peacefully at this time...She was not well received by the monster creature, being as his hatred towards humanity still burned strongly at this time. Though it was not violent, it was exceptionally rude to her, and keeping its eyes on the closed entryway, feeling the zombies above it as if scurrying around in the back of its head, an unscratchable itch that persisted without fail, becoming more irritating by the second, pushing Nightmaer closer step by step to striking out with a vengeance. Its barely contained murderous urges were plainly visible, even something easily felt from across the room, and the civilians backed from it instinctively. The only civilian that did not leave, albeit hesitant about staying in the same room as the barely contained monster that was Nightmaer, was the first one that had entered and noticed Talon. "You must be very talented to survive this long in the thick of the horde. How did you do it?" The civilian asks, hoping to find a better way to fight against the feral freaks that scratched at the entrance to the humans only hope for survival in this calamity.

From the broken doorway, a loud clang and creak is heard as the wood breaks in half and the door flies open. "God damn it, which one of ya'll ladies woke me from my damn sleep?" An overweight woman clad in red, tattered armor side steps from the room to the door. "Thought I told you fools to keep it down!"

"I just got here like 20 minutes ago, I sorta just ran and killed stuff when I had to," Talon said with a shrug, raising an eyebrow as he heard the woman, still focusing on the conversation. And not really reacting to the obvious murderous urges of Nightmaer, figuring if he wants to fight, he'll fight.

"Almost have the nerve to bash your heads together. There's quite a few reasons you don't just go waltzing in some place and stir shit up." She walks around for a little as she gets an eyeful of the situation. She glances at Nightmaer and shoots him a dirty look. "Jesus...", she whispers.

Nightmaer takes only short notice of Alexis, but says nothing. However, it is not particularly pleased with her actions, which sparks the reaction of it GROWLING at her. It was not particularly pleased with her adding more annoyances to the plate that was already piled perilously high by the undead plague raging right above their heads. Something had to be happening to them for it to be sensing them as clearly as it was, and with a reaction like this from its senses, that meant nothing good could possibly come from whatever was happening above. They were irritated, getting angry. And that couldn't bode well for the people within the bunker, as it would lead to something no defense system could stop. Nightmaer would know. It had felt this feeling before...And it was the one that caused it last time. The civilian said to the hunter "Alexis, calm down, they're the same as us: people caught up in a situation they can't help." He then turns to Talon and says "Please come with me, we have some empty rooms, and you probably need a rest after what you had to go through, right?"
((I had another post I was planning. It was largely the same, but the part with Nightmaer wasn't as good and the part with the civie was better. I wish I could get the part with the civie back from whatever pit failed posts go to in Hell and put it in here with this Nightmaer part. it would be a pretty good post for me.))

Talon nodded and proceeded to follow him, putting his weapons away as he looked back at Nightmaer, shrugging a bit. "So how long has this thing been going on? I kinda just got on the planet," he said, not explaining how or why.

Alexis rubs fingers together. "Not a damn clue. I came here lookin' for some loot, and when I got back to my ship it was all busted. Someone or something started this shit, not willing to find out who or what, honestly. If you got a way outta here, I'm with ye."
