The Dark Crusade

(OOC: No no, it's fine. I was just stating that I saw resemblance to dark heresy.)

Its one of the few specialist games that offers a whole difference than warhammer, warhammer 40k and the lord of the rings tabletop games. Basically where those three are pure startegy whereas dark heresy is a RP special based on the 41st millenium. Is that clear enough fer ya?

By the way anyone heard of the warhammer historical (Not the fantasy one) based on famous battles of the past.

The chozo solders came rushing towards us. I shot ones feet with my ice beam and the some fed shot a rocket at it. another one came charging towards me and leaped in the air. Right as it was about to land on my I uppercutted it. It was enough to get him off me but he defiantly didn't go to far. When he was on the ground I climbed up him and started to freeze him with my ice gun, then I punched his face causing the ice to shatter making the monster fall to pieces.

Kais looks at the defiant defender with an angry expression. "Look brothers, the enemy fears the light but fights on in its abstenance. But in end, Darkness shall be no more and light shall give way to the Chozo gods. The great enemy lies silent for now but shall awaken on this planet. The false gods shall fight for untrue ends, The black will fight the white. Chaos will attempt to overthrow holyness and yin will learn to fear yang. This we cannot allow for we are the Chozo and the weaker lesser armies will fight alongside us in a rain of steel and light combined". Kais pointed at the transgressor and fired a Ion bullet straight to the head.

I saw the chozo army steamroll the pirates and knew that if i tried fighting one on one I was fucked. I grabbed a slab of rock from the cliff wall and used it as a makeshift rito shield as I ran back. I needed a way back to the ship so i could help the ground forces. I threw the rock at a crowd of them almost doing nothing, then i punched my arm into the cliff side climbing it ever so carefully. once I was up top I Sprinted over to my ship and walked up the ramp. I took my seat in my chair and turned the systems online.

"Start Fasted Damn it!!!"

I said frustrated.

Lillian put away her other beam sword and takes out her rifle, and a few more grenades. Then she jumps back and her thrusters activate so she flies up and fires her rifle at groups of pirates and lobbing the grenades at them too. She was going to remove herself from the side with all the pirates and fight more defensively on the other side. She makes it to the other side and provides cover fire for the federation troops.

Sturrn skewered another pirate with his claws and pinned him against the wall while firing against another behind him. The commissar alongside him lifted his sword up high and then spun around with his sword sticking out slicing ten pirates and knocking back five more. A ship landed beside them and the lead commander stepped out along with federation specialist rebel pirate commandos "Alright men, Time to earn your freedom as Troopers" shouted the commander. Tons of more vehicles piled out of the ships that followed the lead commander's own ship alongside heavy weapons teams as they entrenched themselves and fired thier autocannons.

Lillian then got an idea. She could deal more damage in her mech. So she flies up to where her mech was and goes in. She activates the mech and flies it above the battlefield. She aims her rifle at the specs that were pirates and fires charged shots, along with a bombardment of missiles, causing massive damage to the pirates.

My ship started up and after i got above the battlefield i realized that apparently there where more pirates and the chazos where nowhere to be seen. I though i was going insane but then i said fuck it and unloaded on more pirates.

The pirates shoved along a giant tank similar to an artillery tank in front of the feds and fired a bombardment of frag bombs sending them flying and the federal guard retaliated by bombing the tank. The pirates: Persistant and powerful had brought a missile tank that shot down about twenty gunships and the bomber that destroyed their artillery peice and ran over ten more troopers with it. Sturnn had ordred a bombing run onto a pirate walker vehicle and it too was destroyed, the pirate commanding it had blown up along with it.

Val'Strum walked amongst the pirate command center, some short distance away from the actual battle. He Phased back into reality, standing ten feet from the commander in charge, an abnormally large Elite Pirate. All of the other pirates growled deeply and raised their weapons but the commander only laughed deeply and turned to the new-comer.

"Val'Strum! 'Ello there! Dem feddie boyz been givin' me gitz an' 'ard time! Ye got dem Sturnn Boy'z 'ead yet?"

Val'Strum remained silent, looking around the room. There were about fifty pirates in all. Sergeant veterans and commandos and elites that all filled the room. He could smell the pair of shadow pirates that remained cloaked at the door-way. The lone pirate commando, clad in black with his visor and arm cannon giving off a crimson glow instead of the usual light blue armor with a white or yellow glow.

"Oi! Ye listenin' te' me funny name?"

The elite pirates sometimes went through a malfunction in their augmentation process where their speech ability slightly dropped, making them talk more idiotically, but in a way that fit their destructive moods. "Funny name" was the title he and most space pirates used for Val'Strum Nictara, as his name was not in their language, but in the Ing language, Val'Strum meaning "Destroyer." Nictara meaning "Blood Drinker." Ing culture was very heavily surrounded around the ideal of killing all other species, and as such their names reflected it.

Val'Strum continued to stay silent, giving some last few observations before turning his head towards the commander.

"No."

He stated calmly. The pirate growled and slammed a large fist against a wall, causing it to dent.

"What?!? I'm payin' good money fer you te' kill that git! Now why isn't 'is 'ead on my table right now!?"

Val'Strum wasn't listening, however, he walked over to another part of the room, looking at each of the snarling and hideous faces of the pirates. Only one thing was going through his mind, how much blood he could spill.

"Oi! Don't ye turn away from me ye cowardly git! I asked ye a question!!"

There was the distinct sound of a scythe unsheathing, and the head of the sergeant closest to Val'Strum was sliced clean off. The body wabbled and than collapsed, hitting the ground at the same time as the head, its neck spraying blood onto Val'Strum's armored boots. His scythe out and surrounded by dark, floating particles.

The commander roared out a battle cry, and one of the pirates shot at Val'Strum, who moved his head out of the way, the shot impacting into the chest of another pirate. The one that was hit staggered back a bit, but quickly recovered. There was a pause, and than all hell broke loose.

My Now Emptying Most Of The Main Guns Leaving The 2 Nuclear IRBM Missiles And The 150 Anti Ship Missiles Landed The Ship Behind The Pirate Controlled Area Hoping To Get A Good Flan On Them. I Turned On My Stealth System And Moved My Way Towards The Back Of What Looked Like A Pirate Command Post.

Shots rang out inside of the command post, pirates screamed and yelled as they fired at Val'Strum, who expertly weaved around their inaccurate fire. He blasted one in the face, corrosive energy melting it off and killing the pirate, jumped and spun through to the air to avoid a volley of plasma rounds and firing two more shots while in the air, sticking one pirate's arm to a wall and corroding his gun and landing a headshot on another pirate.

As he came back down he slashed downward with his scythe and cleanly cut another pirate in two. A commando dashed towards him, bringing its own scythe to bear. Val'Strum bent his body backwards, the blade passing just over his body, while his own scythe was in the commando's path, cutting off its left leg as it passed. The pirate screamed in agony and Val'Strum continued with his own momentum, his hands touching the floor and propelling his body up and towards the commando.

He fired once while in the air, nailing a pirate in the head who stumbled backwards and collapsed into another sergeant. Val'Strum landed with his scythe pointed down, impaling the fallen commando. An elite pirate brought its rapid fire weapon up to bear, and fired a huge volley of shots. Val'Strum quickly went down onto one knee and activated his shielding system, blocking the incoming shots. Than the pirate's weapon jammed, and Val'Strum raced towards it, weaved inbetween its legs while cutting through it with his scythe, than jumped onto its back and gave it a killing stab through the head.

The commander gritted his teeth in agitation, and than charged forward, a large claw swinging at the lone hunter. Val'Strum ducked, dodging the claw, and than dashed towards the door. He charged his arm cannon and fired a volley of blasts at the door, two shadow pirates screamed as their bodies began to melt away. It looked as if Val'Strum would ram into the door, but phased out as he was just about to make contact with it, his now ghostly body going through the door without even touching it. The commander roared and bashed open the doors, screaming orders at his men to get the dark commando.

He himself was also chasing after the elusive Val'Strum, enraged. As no one living was now in the command post, the next person to go inside would find a display of brutalized and maimed corpses, all strewn about in different manners of death and mutilation, as well as the communications console for the pirate army here.

As I Got Closer To The Command Post I Herd Screams Of Pain Emit From The Base.

"Oh Great."

I Said In A Sarcastic Tone.

"I Jest Cant Keep Out Of Trouble Today Can I?"

I Made My Over To A Window Slowly So Find An Alien Doing My Job For Me.

I Though To My Self. I Wasn't Ready To Get Myself Into A Situation I Couldnt Get Myself Out Of So I Jumped Onto The Roof And Got Into A Ventlation Shaft Hoping To Find Something In The Base That Could Be Of Value To The Feds Like A Pirate Attack Plan.

Val'Strum laughed sadistically as he drew the pirates on and on, getting them closer and closer to the front lines where Sturnn was. He drifted along with his jet-dash system, occasionally firing a shot or two back at the charging pirates. Val'Strum grinned evilly under his helmet as he could smell Sturnn, he was getting close.

He than put his Dash system into full power and rocketed forward and than phasing out. He found a building to perch on and watch from. The horde of Pirates kept going in the direction that they thought Val'Strum had gone, getting very close to Sturnn's position now.

As I Opened A Vent Dropping down into the building I saw the piles and piles of bodies mangled and disfigured. It gave me a sick feeling but i sucked it up. I Ran over to a pirate computer terminal with my stealth system still on as I looked for anything of value. jest then i got a radio message from the feds telling me that I was needed. The man on the radio said.

"Theirs Some Monster Charging Towards Us. We Need Back Up AS-"

Before He Could Finish I herd Him Scream In Pain. I Though What If It Was The Thing I Was Earlier. It wasn't important, I found a pirated document I could sell to the feds. i wanted to look for more but there was no time. I headed towards the door jest as some pirated had opened it. I froze. then walked In and started freaking out.

"Damz. Do Doz you thinkz kould havz donz tihs?"

One Asked

"I dontz knoz man but whoevarz diz iz gonaz gets itz man."

The other responded. they had not seen me yet. one walked so close to me that i could feel him almost touch me. I grabbed him with my robotic arm by the neck and ran towards his friend shooting him in the feet so that he couldn't move as I smashed his head through his friends stomach. I then ran out the door hoping more wouldn't show up making my way to the ship so that i could get there faster.

Sturnn could see an Elite Pirate and some more of the pirates but at that time the Battle was closing to an end and there were only few troops on both sides and no tanks or ships left the commander stopped in mid-run and looked around. "Oi dat traita iz gone but whats dis, HUMIES! Ha ha ha charge boyz". The commander ran straight towards the nearest humie he could see which of course was Sturnn. Sturnn jumped as soon as the pirate started his charge causing him to run straight into his own boyz knocking most of them off the cliff and into the abyss below. "Hold still humie!" Roared the commander. "diz is where you'ze meet your end" Laughed the Elite and tried to smack Sturnn with his powa Klaw. "Duck!" ordered a fed trooper with a sniper rifle, Sturrn did so and the fed shot a high powered shot straight through the Elite's chest cavity knocking something vital straight out.

The elite stood two feet away before the cliff. "Iz not boss... no more" he said weakly before falling backwards. The remaining Pirates were shot dead by troopers and a cheer rose throughout the regiment and even the rebel pirates felt a sudden jolt of happiness.

Lillian was notified of pirate reinforcements coming in through the air. She punched it to the location of where they were coming from. As she got closer, she could make out multiple drop ships and heavy frigates with fighters swarming them. She sighs before rushing out to meet them. She locks onto multiple fighters with her missiles and shoots them down. She rushed in and activates her tri-beam shield and starts slicing through the fighters and also shooting them down with her rifle. The heavy frigates open fire upon her, nearly dodging the shots as she assaulted the fighters. Then she finishes off the last fighter with her rifle and starts tearing away at the drop ships. She cuts through them like butter with her tri-beam shield. The frigates fire was getting more accurate, now just rushing past her mech's head. She quickly finished off the last drop ship and focused on the frigates. If they got to the battlefield, they would tear the federation troopers to ribbons. She launched missiles at the first one's command center, rendering it useless as the missiles tore into it and exploding. The second one she went to the back of the ship, pierced it with her tri-beam shield, and rushed up the spine of it, dragging her blades through the ship. It then loses altitude until it crashes to the ground. The last one fired a barrage of missiles and heavy lasers at her. She maneuvered around the lasers and dodges the missiles, but they turned around and still came after her. She then rushes to the ship with the missiles behind her, dodging laser fire from it. She goes for the hull before quickly dodging under it and going back up. The missiles weren't so smart and they just went right into the hull of the ship. The ship took a lot of damage. She finished it off by going around to the front and plunging her blades into the command center and tearing upward. As the last frigate drops from the sky, she sees something out of hte corner of the monitor. She just barely dodges a high caliber laser beam. She turns where the shot came from to see another mech, of more than likely pirate origen. They must have gotten the same idea as her. By now, they were both within eyes reach of the battlefield.

Val'Strum watched the Commander's death blow. He honestly was expecting a bit more of a fight, but no matter. With the commander dead, and no one to man the communications sector, the pirate army will be thrown into turmoil until the next field commander could make it down to the surface.

Val'Strum looked up to the sky, seeing a group of new ships begin to land. He identified them as Federation Marine dropships. He chuckled loudly, his dark laughter spreading over the area of the battlefield of where he was. Anyone who looked up could see the hunter before he phased out and vanished.

One of the dropships touched down against the ground hard, its boarding ramp opening as a squad of Marines rushed out, assault rifles blasting at pirate forces. Will was one of them, he ducked as a blast of plasma flew past his head and aimed his arm-mounted assault rifle back at the pirate who shot it. He unloaded ten rounds, which all impacted against the creature and causing it to fall backwards in a dead heap.

It was obvious that the pirates were unorganized, firing wildly and lacking coordination. Will spotted one of the guardsman, he held the general insignia on his uniform. Will quickly ran over to the piece of cover where the man was.

"Hey! You in charge here?"

He said. He quickly recognized the man as Sturnn, who he'd heard rumors and legends about. Will peeked around the corner of his cover and fired off some rounds in blind-fire at the pirates, "Suppressive fire" as it was called.
