Twin Fever: Study and Hopeful Extermination of a Deadly Virus from the Wild

"I'll get you to your ship ASAP with the help of my brother." he says to them. Then over the comms with his brother he says, "Hey bro, I got an injured guy over here. Could ya bring him to his ship so he can get patched up?" Hearing the reply was, "Sure thing, I'm coming to your current location." He turns to them and says, "Alright, my brother's coming with our ship to pick you up and drop you off at your ship." Within minutes the Pursuer comes into the clearing and the back hatch opens up. "Alright, let's get him in quick." he says.

Samus looks up at his brother. "Hi." She said, "Nice ship."

"Classy, Man!" Shasta looked at the ship, then pulled himself on. "It's just up this hill. I can open it remotely and stuff. All you need to do is drop me off. Thanks."

Ryo replies with, "I'll have you there in no time." Ryo closes the hatch after he was inside and he takes off to where his ship was. About a minute and they were there. He opens the hatch and says, "Alright, here's the stop. You need any help?"

Meanwhile, Hiraito replies to Samus with, "It's not a bad ship. It's taken many pirate fighters and whatnot in its time. It's grown to be my brother's and my home."

Samus slightly smiled. "Yea, a lot like my Gunship in that sense." Her Gunship, besides her Powersuit, had always been home to her. She always made sure it was safe, and put it before herself on her missions. It was one of the only things she had left related to the Chozo.

Akiba was watching and then realized something: he couldn't breathe. He walked over to Hiraition and tapped his shoulder. He grabbed his throat to symbolize choking.

Samus watched Akiba carefully. "I think he's trying to say he's choking on something, or he can't breathe."

"No... Thank you so much... I owe you one." Shasta shifted his weight, falling a few feet onto the ground, then crawled into his ship. He browsed his surgical tools, then selected a sanitized saw. Shasta was extremely glad he was suffering from third degree burns, or else the process would be very painful. ((once again, I'm not sure if you can stay awake during third degree burns. So if I'm wrong... I'm pretty much aware.)) The leg eventually severed, allowing him to patch it and scan his left leg with his computer's 3rd dimension scanner. It then mirrored itself then created a virtual cast for a leg to be molded in. He set the scanner to output and to use the first material to come into its reach. He pulled a bar above him, balancing on one leg, then steadily hopped on one foot out of his ship, then took another slab of concrete off an old path, then struggled a bit. Amazed at his balance, he got too cocky. He fell, and tried throeing the small slab into the scanner. It changed it to a motor interior and a plastic exterior, the latter shaped like his leg.


"Come on... Lose your balance. Lose your balance. Loseyourbalanceloseyourbalanceloseyourbalanceloseyourbalanceloseyourbalanceloseyourbalance losebalancelosebalancelosebalancelosebalancelosebalance loseitloseitloseitloseitloseitloseitlsoeitloseitloseitloseit!"

He groaned, then thought of avalanches. "Maybe if I scream loud enough I can MAKE IT FALL!"

It fell.

He stabbed one part into his leg that was still on- which was nervous domain, meaning it hurt this time, and despite the pain, mechanically attached the prosthesis.

He got up, then went down the hill.

Akiba, at this point, was on the ground. He got an idea: Text files! He sent one to each person with a power suit that read: "Choking on vomit please help."

"Dammit..." Shasta turned part of the motor on in the leg, able to run down the hill, but it took power from him. He got to Akiba then removed his helmet and performed the Heimech maneuver.

"How am I supposed to help. I don't think plasma to the face would help you at all..." he says.

Akiba pushes Shasta away, rols over, and vomits vomit. He gets up, then says "Is the virus airborne?"

"I'd have it before you... I'm only wearing goggles and an MRD." Shasta shrugged. "Or it could only be airborne by breathing. I don't know."

Akiba began holding his breath.

Samus chuckled as Dune whacked him on the head. "Stupid." Dune muttered, and sat down, pulling off her helmet. "Hmm... how's my Phazon level doing.."

"I'm surprised there's still much Phazon around. But I suppose it makes sense. It wouldn't exactly wipe off the face of existence because a planet got destroyed. I suppose the main federation is just stupid." Shasta paced around a bit, adjusting to his new leg.

"Some people still rely on phazon. I hear a captain of the Federation uses phazon to power a huge cannon on his ship." he says since they brought up phazon and the Federation into the discussion.

Samus growled. "If there are any more planets with Phazon, I am going to destroy them. But Phaaze wasn't just a planet. It was the only known source of Phazon." Dune sighed. "I don't rely on the stuff really. It's just a part of me."

Akiba put his helmet back on and took a big breath of filtered air.
"Maybe she's like a mobile Phaaze..."
At this point, he wanted Samus to be mad at someone that wasn't him. He was embarassing himself in front of the person who basically single-handedly took down the Phazon crisis, and he didn't want to piss her off. He was fine with the others, but Samus had too many ways to kill him and he wanted to know how he would die. With Hiraitio, he'd die of laser burns, Dune from Plasma cutters, and Samus had too many ways... Grabbling beam... Nova Beam... Plasma Beam...

"To be honest, why would Phaaze be the main source?" Shasta asked, "Perhaps it was a planet that was hit with a leviathan from another Phazon planet... Or it could have launched more leviathans. What are the odds that the planet the pirates stumbled upon was the sentient source of Phazon? It's even possible that these "Phazon born" creatures were old inhabitants of Phaaze."

Samus shot him a glare. "That's why i said KNOWN. Are you deaf? The planet produced Phazon." Dune smiled. "Like me" Samus nodded. "Yes, like Aran here." Dune stopped for a moment and her two silver eyes fixed on Samus with a murderous glare. "How do you know that Samus?" Samus shrugged. "When you're the hero of the Federation, you kinda get access to those files." Dune sat down, but still glared at Samus. "Like I was saying, I didn't state that Phaaze was the only planet producing Phazon. Were you even there Shasta?"

"Maybe the Federation has a secret location where they store phazon, and are possibly trying to produce it. If so, then does that make them any smarter than the space pirates?" he says, a bit interested on the subject of phazon. Even though they should be working on the mission about the virus.

"The federation does have a source of Phazon." Shasta rolled his eyes. "Why else would Phazon be so abundant in regions known to us? Plus, we have MTDs."

Samus was about to reply, but Dune interrupted her. "Look, as I'm sure you are all having fun holding a debate here on Phazon, don't we have something better to do?" The glowing symbol on Samus' Zero-Suit began to flash as her suit once again returned.

"I suppose you're right." Shasta turned, thenturned back toward the rest. "It's near everybody else's ship, right?"
