Twin Fever: Study and Hopeful Extermination of a Deadly Virus from the Wild

"I'm recieving info from my brother. He's good at hacking. He found out the Federation had been here to study life on the planet. That was until they were infected. So it may be an old Federation outpost."

"Are you sure the tents are empty?" Shasta said, leaning into each one of them, looking for life.

Meanwhile, Thoth hit the ground scanning everything to check for life other than foliage, but interrupted by the sudden silence which he eventually became part of, after whispering a question, "What's going on?"

Samus looked inside a couple tents, but then put on her helmet again, and scanned for life. "Nothing living is here, but, look, remnants of a fire." A quick scan told her how long ago it was made. "And it wasn't made that long ago, less than a day, a few hours at most. Someone is still here."

Hearing them he readies his arm cannon, it's a reflex. "Anything as pertaining on what was here?" He wasn't going to scan anything, he never bothered doibng so since his brother always did the scanning. He stands ready for something to jump out and blast it.

"Not Space Pirate, at least i don't think" She said, her voice now on the comm again. "Maybe Federation, maybe a Tabulan survivor of the plague. Whatever it was, it left, but it might be still alive."

"I imagine it would still be alive; A virus can't be too strong. It would be throwing yourself in front of the speeding extinction."
"And why is that?" Clio asked in the distance.
"If you have an ecosystem of 5 tigers and one hundred zebras, even though the tigers are fully capable of killing all one hundred, they won't," Shasta said "You must leave survivors to reproduce so they can feed on the zebras' descendants but spare some and go in the circle," He turned away from the fire, "It's not a hate thing or anything like that." He began walking along again.

Samus nodded. "He's right." She began to follow him, looking around. "This place reminds me of Zebes," She said aloud absentmindedly.

"Really?" Shasta said, "It was uninhabited by all intelligent life but the Chozo. I've never been there. But after you saved the galaxy there, there's been plenty of traffic," Shasta said, "I imagine mostly tourists,"

"I know that." Her tone was bitter. "And i need to file a complaint about letting people go there."

"So whatever it is,should we attempt to track it down?" he says, nerves calmed knowing it most likely wasn't Space Pirates.

"Yes, i think we should. It'll probably shed some light on the situation." She looked around, and kept walking.

A pair of silver eyes watched the group, before disappearing as a figure swiftly went deeper into the forest.

Clio turned around, sensing movement, but saw nothing there. Assuming that it was just wildlife, she turned around joining the group. She equipped a PED/MTD, safety on, just in case.

((*Dances around like a madman* Pup64!! You've returned!! I'm soooo happy now!!!))

"I hope this place doesn't have the predators like Zebes." Samus said aloud. "That would not be pleasant." She felt a presence, but it quickly disappeared. She looked around though, just incase. "Did any of you guys see something?" She asked, reading her Nova Beam. "I thought I saw something..."

The figure weaved swiftly though the dense forest, taking a shortcut to meet up with the group later. A smirk spread across the person's lips.

"If there were anything like the creatures on Zebes here, we could take 'em." says Hiraito confidently. As for the question about seeing something, he was oblivious to any movement around them. "I don't see anything." he says.

Akiba's ship had made a crash landing on Twin Tabula. He heard rumors of the native disease, and kept moving around the planet to prevent infection. He found a group of people. One of them was Samus Aran.
"Holy Jeebus! You're..... Samus Aran!!"
Akiba falls over and begins having a seizure.

He looks at the newcommer who falls over having a seizure and almost bursts out laughing. "What's up with him?" he says, holding back from laughing.

((How could you burst out laughing before holding back laughter? Oops.))

"What the hell? ... Did that just happen?" Shasta held back a bit of laughter as well. "So should we help him before he swallows his tongue?"

"How? The best thing we can do is get any dangerous objects away from him." Thoth replied.

"What would that be?"

"Sticks, rocks, hard or sharp things..."

"Oh, alright, then." Shasta cleared the area around Akiba.

Samus blinked. "Am i really that important?" She asked, as she watched Akiba convulse. She sighed. "Well it doesn't really matter now. What are we going to do about him?"

"I'm not sure... I suppose he needs medical attention, right?" Shasta asked
"Either that or we just throw him in the woods," Thoth said, sarcastically.
"Sounds good." Shasta picked up his feet. "Somebody get the other side!"
"I was kidding... Did you actually believe I meant that?"
"No, but I thought it was a good idea anyway."

Samus chuckled. "Well, I'm fine with throwing him into the woods, but i don't think he'd find it very comfortable. Anyone know how to take care of him? I'm a Warrior, not a doctor."

Akiba, surprised, gets back up.
"I was just exaggerating her godliness. I'm fine."
Akiba looks at the clearing the others made.
"I hate you all."
Akiba looks back to Samus, making sure she wasn't angry in any way. Akiba didn't know how missiles tasted, and he didn't want to know.

Samus sighed, muttering to herself how others could be immature as a Hatchling, but decided to put it aside. "Godliness.... If you ever associate that word with me again, you will be meeting the unfriendly side of one of my missiles. Have I made myself clear?" Her tone was without anger, but still dangerous. "Let's keep moving." She walked in the direction they were heading.

The figure wondered what was taking the group so long, and decided to do something. Picking up a small rock, the figure threw it at the group, hitting the back of Samus' head.

Samus spun around. "Who the hell was that?"

"She'll make you taste missiles!"
Akiba ran behind a rock, taking cover in case either Samus or the thrower attacked again.

While they were discussing what to do with him, he was on the brink of burting out laughing and tears came from his eyes holding back. But after that, he was over it and had also readied himself at the general direction the rock had came. "Be ready to eat plasma and who knows what if you're not friendly." he says out loud.

A figure, in a silver and blue suit, appeared. A male voice spoke. "I was wondering if you would notice me.." It said, looking at the group. The blue was obviously Phazon. "And don't worry, I have no intention of harming any of you. If i did, you'd more than likely would have known that by now. You may refer to me as Dune."

Samus lowering her Arm Cannon. "Nice to meet you to."
