Twin Fever: Study and Hopeful Extermination of a Deadly Virus from the Wild

They're right, Akiba thought. He decided that he'd stop fooling around and start participating. He walked on ahead, scouting the area, when he found a village in a mountain valley. He opened a channel to them.
"You guys? There's a settlement up ahead. And unless you want to deal with the weeks added onto our trip from mountain exploring, we should negotiate. Is anybody else here besides me up for it?"
Akiba waits in his tree, looking at the village, looking for any kind of weapons, and, if so, how advanced they were.

"I'm in. Be there in a second..." Shasta closed the channel, then turned toward the group. "I'm going to go help Akiba. Don't wait for me, we'll find you guys."

Samus stood up. "I'm following." She went after Akiba. Dune chuckled and sat down. "Knock yourselves out; I'm staying right here."

"What about your suit?" Shasta asked. "I thought that was the only reason anybody was staying behind?"

Samus sighed. "Even if they are hostile, I would be able to take them."

"Then should we all go?" Shasta raised an eyebrow. "Screw it, I'm going." He began running west ((According to rotation)) toward Akiba and the amount of civilization he had discovered on this forsaken rock. ((Is that last part a metroid quote?))

"I'll stay put. I don't do to well with negotiating unless it includes blowing something up. Go on ahead." Hiraito says.

Akiba, now waiting at the outskirts, saw his team approach.
"Who's taking point?"

Samus shrugged. "Its up to you guys. I'm pretty good with negations, but not really when people know that I'm The Hunter. They usually get scared and run for it."

"People run scared when they know you're the hunter? Samus, you're not nearly that far into the series." ((Fourth wall FTL!)) "You're not that great yet. I think you're thinking too highly of yourself."

Hiraito sighs and turns to Dune, "So... any particular reason you came along?" he asks.

"Yes, Dune." Thoth turned around. "I was wondering as well. Any particular reason? A person? The Virus? Does the dirt here taste good?"

Dune let out a sad sigh. "I thought I would find something important here, but it seemed nothing sparked my memory." She looked around. "Nothing at all."

"Sooooo... you don't like the dirt here? Or is that just not the MAIN reason you came along?"

Dune raised an eyebrow. "It has nothing to do with the dirt. I just thought I saw something important to my memory here."

"Your brain fell out?" Thoth covered the speaker part of his face to imitate concern.

"No. Unlike you people, i can't remember anything about my past. So I'm looking for something to spark my memory, thankyouverymuch."

"Oh, that happened to me one time... Then I reinstalled GRUB and I was okay." ((Yeah, in case you're wondering, I do like Linux. :-P))

"Fortunately for me, I have had no such problem. It's too bad that it happens to people though." says Hiraito.

(OOC: @Pup64 *facepalm*)

"Yea, to bad you can't remember anything about you, your family, what happened to you, why the hell you were experimented on, by who, what the Space pirates were doing with you, and so on." Dune said bitterly. "All i know is my name, and I'm not to sure about that."

Samus sighed. "Well if you ever remember, I'll warn you on this: some memories are best left forgotten if you manage to forget them."

"Like how a certain race of evil creatures decided to raid a colony by the name of K-2L..."
Akiba realized what he said and decided to up his pace.
"I'll take point."

Samus gave him an angry glare. "You better." She replied, her tone icy. Dune sighed. "Akiba please watch what you say." She said, and added in a quieter tone "geez, its like babysitting a 5-year-old. He's so childish."

"I heard that! And thank you very much. I am who I am." Akiba exclaimed, just as an alien approached him. Akiba spoke to him, hoping he knew english.
"Hello. We are from the Galactic Federation here on an mission. We come in peace."
Akiba, just to prove it, deactivated the suit except for the helmet so he could breathe filtered air and keep his own identity a secret.

Dune started laughing quietly. "Akiba, you do realize how silly you look with your helmet still on, right?" Samus bowed to the alien and removed her helmet, to prove that she was human. "I am Samus Aran."

"Its called disease."
